Dublin's Best Vet! Dublin Veterinary Clinic is the longest established veterinary clinic in Dublin, Ohio. Since 1966, we have provided compassionate and comprehensive care in a nurturing, family environment. The Dublin Blacksmith Shop was converted to a veterinary hospital at 32 West Bridge Street in 1966. Our animal clinic is also proudly listed on the Registry of Historic Places.  Drs. Todd and Brigette Lightell, whom are husband and wife veterinarians, have owned the animal hospital since 2010.  Along with our Associates, all doctors have extensive experience in veterinary medicine and surgery. Our dedicated hospital team provides compassionate and exceptional care for your pets in a caring, family atmosphere. In addition to caring for your furry friends such as cats and dogs, we also care for exotic pets such as rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, and pocket pets. We strive to give both you and your pets the personal attention that we feel you both deserve. We are excited to meet you, and take care of you and your family's pets!

What makes Dublin Veterinary Clinic unique is our unwavering commitment to building strong long lasting relationships with our clients & their beloved pets.  We pride ourselves on consistently delivering professional and personalized customer service to our clients.  We strive to constantly deliver high quality veterinary medicine and surgery to people’s pets, while providing the most up to date treatment options.  We also provide supportive, ongoing client communication and education.  Our animal hospital follows the safest vaccination guidelines set forth by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which ensures the safety and health of our animal friends.  We also constantly engage in continuing education, in order to attain the highest standards of care for our clients’ pets.  We eagerly treat exotic patients as well, which sets us apart from other veterinary hospitals around Dublin and Columbus.

    Office Manager

    Jill is our loyal, skilled, and accomplished Veterinary Office Manager.  She continually impresses all of us daily with her outstanding management, technical, and interpersonal skills. We all love her unwavering awesomeness as a leader.  She has one daughter (Tapanga) and one son (Deacon). They also have two four-legged children: Alexis & Spade (both large breed mixed dogs). In her spare time, Jill enjoys spending time with her children and pets. She also enjoys horseback riding, scrapbooking, and four-wheeling.

  • Mackenzie

    Assistant Office Manager

    Besides the array of responsibilities that come with being an Assistant Office Manager, Mackenzie assists with surgery, appointments, and reception as well.  She has future aspirations of attending The Ohio State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  Mackenzie has previous experience in both veterinary clinic and laboratory settings.  Her high attention to detail, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for veterinary medicine is admirable.  In her spare time, Mackenzie enjoys spoiling her new Great Dane and cat, exploring Dublin's delectable restaurants, and watching football.
  • Brooke C.

    Head Veterinary Assistant

    Brooke is the Lead Veterinary Assistant at Dublin Veterinary Clinic.  She has prior experience working in the veterinary field, including equine experience.  She is excited to continue her journey here helping small animals as well.  Brooke's compassionate & caring nature is admirable.  She has a menagerie of pets at home, that keep her busy!  She has one Shetland Sheepdog, one rabbit, three hamsters, two guinea pigs, two ferrets, two cats, and three horses.  In her spare time, Brooke enjoys riding her horses, and spending time with her two sons.

    Head Veterinary Receptionist

    Jess enthusiastically joined our team as our Veterinary Receptionist, coming to Dublin Veterinary Clinic with a vast array of previous veterinary experience and knowledge.  She has previous work experience in both emergency and general practice veterinary settings.  We enjoy her infectious smile, kindness toward others, and grace under pressure.  Jess enjoys showering her cat with love and attention, and watching football with her friends and family in her spare time. 
  • Tiegan

    Certified Veterinary Assistant

    Tiegan joins Dublin Veterinary Clinic after completing an intensive training program at Columbus Humane for becoming a Veterinary Assistant.  This eight week program offered at Columbus Humane prepares him for his important role of caring for our patients.  We appreciate Tiegan's gentle demeanor and enthusiasm for learning everything about veterinary medicine.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

    Veterinary Technician

    Alex is a recent graduate of Columbus State Community College's Veterinary Technology program.  We are excited to have her join Dublin Veterinary Clinic as she embarks on her career as a Veterinary Technologist.  She and her fiance have a newborn son named Samuel.  Outside of her time at the clinic, Alex enjoys spending time with her family, and studying zoology.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Daniel joins Dublin Veterinary Clinic with previous experience in the small animal medical field. He is excited to expand his veterinary skills while working at Dublin Veterinary Clinic.  We enjoy Daniel's kind personality, compassion for animals and their owners, and his enthusiasm for veterinary medicine.  He has a loveable recue dog named Mushu.  In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family, attending gallery shows, and researching holistic treatments for pets and people.

    Veterinary Student

    Hannah is a student at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has a background in small animal and exotic medicine, and is looking forward to expanding her small animal and exotic medicine skills and knowledge. We enjoy her kind-hearted personality, strong work ethic, and insatiable desire to learn about veterinary medicine.  In Hannah's spare time, she enjoys watching beach volleyball, doing crafts such as drawing and painting, caring for her household plants, and creating merchandise for the Exotics Club at OSU's College of Veterinary Medicine.

    Veterinary Student

    Hannah has previous veterinary medicine experience in both general and specialty practices.  She is currently working towards earning her doctorate degree as a future Veterinarian at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  She is excited to expand her skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine and surgery. We all love her kind personality, enthusiasm for veterinary medicine, and love for all pets.  Hannah has a 55 gallon fish tank with many fish, a cat named Snickers, and is acquiring a new dog soon.  In her spare time, Hannah enjoys drawing, baking bread, hiking, and scuba diving.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Brooke E. joins Dublin Veterinary Clinic with previous veterinary experience in general practice.  She is especially well versed in surgery and radiography.  We love her infectious smile, positive attitude, and desire to learn everything about veterinary medicine that she can.  Brooke E. especially loves cats, but has a high affection for dogs as well.  She has a dog named Brax, and a cat named Tofu.  In her spare time, Brooke E. enjoys exploring new parks with Brax, drinking coffee, and scrolling through videos on TikTok.

    Veterinary Student

    Haneen is a veterinary student at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She enthusiastically joins Dublin Veterinary Clinic with previous experience in research, general practice, and emergency hospitals. We appreciate her calm demeanor, professionalism, and desire to improve her veterinary knowledge and skills. Haneen also works full-time as a waitress, and enjoys spoiling her loveable cats in her spare time.
